From the Producer
Rosebank distillery was founded in 1840 on the Forth & Clyde canal near Falkirk by wine merchant James Rankine, and its triple-distilled Lowland malt earned it the nickname "King of the Lowlands." The distillery closed in 1993 as its owners' blends absorbed most of its output, and its stills were destroyed by copper thieves in 2008. Ian Macleod Distillers rescued the site in 2017 and rebuilt the distillery, with new-make spirit finally flowing again on 5 June 2023 — making pre-closure bottlings like this one a link to the original Rosebank rather than the revived one.
