About This Whisky
The official Rosebank 12 Year Old was bottled by the distillery's owners at the time in their Flora & Fauna range of single malts, launched in 1991. Every drop comes from the original stills. Bottled at 43% ABV, it shows the grassy, floral and citrus style that triple distillation gives, with a little more body than many Lowland malts thanks to the worm tubs.

About the Distillery
Wine merchant James Rankine founded Rosebank in 1840 beside the Forth & Clyde Canal, just west of Falkirk. Within a few decades the family was shipping whisky as far as Australia. Rosebank was run as a Lowland distillery in the classic way, triple distilling unpeated malt and condensing the spirit in worm tubs, and blenders prized it. Too much of its fate was tied to blends, though, and it closed in 1993. In 2008 copper thieves broke in and destroyed the stills. Ian Macleod Distillers bought the site and brand in 2017, rebuilt the distillery on the same recipe, and new spirit began to flow in the summer of 2023.
