About This Wine
Three bottles of Prieuré Roch's Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Vieilles Vignes 2019 come in the original carton. The old-vine cuvée from a low-yielding, concentrated vintage.
Prieuré Roch sorts its Nuits-Saint-Georges premier cru fruit into several wines.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Ripe cherry, blackberry and violet, with spice, earth and a savoury, meaty edge.
- Palate: Concentrated and velvety, with firm, fine tannins and fresh acidity.
- Finish: Long and structured, with dark fruit and a mineral grip.
Serving & Food
Open one bottle now with an hour in a decanter to see where it stands, and keep the others for 2027 onwards. Pair with steak frites, cassoulet, or stir-fried beef with black pepper.

About the Domaine
Henry-Frédéric Roch founded Prieuré Roch in 1988 and co-directed the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1992. Since his death in 2018, Yannick Champ, co-manager from 2010, has run the domaine.
