About This Wine
Prieuré Roch's Les Suchots 2012 comes in 3-litre format, from a tiny, trying vintage that still made structured, concentrated reds.
The domaine holds 1.02 hectares of Les Suchots, a premier cru on the gentle lower slope of Vosne, next to Echezeaux.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Red cherry, wild strawberry and rose, with tea leaf, spice and a little forest floor.
- Palate: Concentrated but silky, with savoury depth and firm, fine tannins now starting to relax.
- Finish: Long, with red fruit, spice and a mineral freshness.
Serving & Food
Rest the bottle upright for a day or two and decant an hour ahead. Serve with rib of beef or braised lamb shank.

About the Domaine
Henry-Frédéric Roch, nephew of Lalou Bize-Leroy, founded Prieuré Roch in 1988 and became co-director of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in 1992. His reds are fermented with all their stems and bottled unfiltered with very little sulphur.
