Domaine Prieuré Roch was founded in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch, whose family was also part-owner and co-manager of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Le Clos Goillotte is a 0.55-hectare monopole the domaine describes as a triangle plot in front of the former chais of the Prince of Conti, kept within the family until 1988. The estate farms it and its other holdings biodynamically, with no synthetic products in the vineyard or cellar and whole-bunch vinification without added sulphite, now led by Yannick Champ. The domaine calls the wine one some would describe as “feminine,” for its endless curves and exceptional delicacy.
