About This Wine
Prieuré Roch's Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2019 comes from just over half a hectare in the upper part of the Clos.
The Cistercians of Cîteaux planted Vougeot around 1100 and walled the Clos in about 1330.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Dark cherry and blackberry with violet, sweet spice and damp earth.
- Palate: Firm and structured, with dense fruit, fine tannins and a fresh close.
- Finish: Long, with dark fruit and savoury, stony notes.
Serving & Food
Decant for an hour and serve at 16°C from 2027 into the early 2040s, with roast lamb or venison pie.

About the Domaine
Henry-Frédéric Roch, a grandson of Henri Leroy, founded Prieuré Roch in 1988 and co-directed the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1992 until his death in 2018. Yannick Champ now runs the domaine.
