Domaine Prieuré Roch was founded in 1988 in Vosne-Romanée by Henry-Frédéric Roch, and today farms around twenty hectares across Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Ladoix and Savigny-les-Beaune. The Chambertin Clos de Bèze enclosure itself is one of France's oldest, first planted by the monks of the Abbey of Bèze in the 7th century and classified Grand Cru when Burgundy's AOC system was created in 1937.
