Port Ellen 32 Year 15th Release 750mL is the 2015 Diageo Special Releases bottling from the closed Islay distillery. It is a landmark collector Scotch, valued for age, rarity and Port Ellen’s cult maritime peat character.
From the Producer
Port Ellen sat on the south coast of Islay from 1825 and was shut in 1983 when Islay capacity was cut back. The malting plant kept running and still supplies most of the island, but the stills went quiet for forty years. Every bottle since has come from a finite cask stock, and Diageo released the best of it annually from 2001 as the Port Ellen Special Releases. This is the 15th Release, bottled in 2015 from 1983 spirit at natural cask strength.

- Nose: Sea breeze, lemon oil, peat smoke, wax, old oak, herbs and mineral notes
- Palate: Complex and coastal, with citrus, brine, smoky malt, spice, oak and cask-strength depth
- Finish: Very long, with smoke, salt, citrus peel and dry oak
