Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 20 Year is bottled from wheated bourbon distilled and matured at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, selected by the Van Winkle family under the joint venture in place since 2002. The name comes from Julian P. Van Winkle Sr. of the Stitzel-Weller distillery, whose recipe substituted wheat for rye. Strength is 90.4 proof.
