Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year 2012 is a sought-after wheated bourbon from the Van Winkle family, known for intensity, scarcity and release-year collectability. It is a prestige bottle for serious American whiskey buyers
From the Producer
Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve is named for Julian P. Van Winkle Sr., who ran the Stitzel-Weller distillery in Louisville and gave the family its reputation for wheated bourbon. Julian III and Preston Van Winkle still select the barrels, and since 2002 the whiskey has been distilled and matured at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort under a joint venture with the family. The 15 year is bottled at 107 proof.
