About This Wine
Olivier Bernstein's 2019 Clos de Vougeot comes from the walled grand cru the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux planted in the Middle Ages.
The Clos covers close to 50 hectares inside its stone wall.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Blue and red berries with violet, a dusting of red pepper and a mineral note.
- Palate: Supple and layered, generous in fruit but held together by silky, fine-grained tannins.
- Finish: Long and fresh, with spice and berry fruit lingering.
Serving & Food
Open from around 2026 and drink over the following decade, with Peking duck or roast guinea fowl.

About the Maison
Olivier Bernstein founded his house in Beaune in 2007, and Clos de Vougeot is one of the seven grands crus at the centre of the range. Its cooper at Chassin tastes the new wines before choosing the toast for each vintage.
