Old Forester was launched in 1870 by George Garvin Brown as the first bourbon sold exclusively in sealed glass bottles, and has been produced continuously by Brown-Forman in Louisville ever since. Birthday Bourbon is the annual release that marks Brown's birthday, drawn each year from a single day's production and bottled in limited quantity. The 2020 edition came from 95 barrels laid down on 5 June 2010.
