Old Forester Batch Proof 150th Batch 2 is a limited Kentucky straight bourbon from the brand's anniversary series, with merchant references reporting 126.4 proof. It offers the dense sweetness and oak intensity that high-proof Old Forester fans typically seek.
From the Producer
Old Forester was first bottled and sold by George Garvin Brown in 1870 and was the first bourbon sold exclusively in sealed bottles, a step taken to guard against adulteration in an era when whiskey was often sold from the barrel. It has been on the market continuously since, produced by the Brown-Forman family under a mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley, the same recipe used for Woodford Reserve. The Batch Proof series is a barrel-strength, non-chill-filtered release drawn from selected barrels without dilution, giving each batch its own proof point.
