Chateau Mouton Rothschild is one of the five Bordeaux First Growths, based in Pauillac and owned by the Rothschild family since 1853. Since the 1945 vintage the estate has commissioned a new artist for each year's label, and each release is shipped in a stencilled original wooden case naming the chateau and the vintage. This case was made for the 1988 vintage and holds no wine.
