Chateau Mouton Rothschild has been in Rothschild family hands since 1853 and was reclassified as a Pauillac First Growth in 1973. Every vintage since 1945 has carried a label designed by a different artist, and the wine leaves the estate in stencilled original wooden cases branded with the chateau name and the year. This is the case made for the 1981 vintage, sold empty.
