From the Producer

Chateau Mouton Rothschild is a Pauillac estate that was reclassified as a First Growth in 1973 after a long campaign by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, the only change ever made to the 1855 Classification. Since the 1945 vintage every label has been commissioned from a different artist, which makes the vintage marking on Mouton packaging part of what collectors are buying. The original wooden case is produced by the estate for shipment and carries the chateau branding and the vintage on its panel.
