About This Whisky
Folio 7 is the seventh bottling in The Macallan Archival Series, which brings back the distillery's old print advertisements.
The advert shows the baffled scientists carrying extra whisky back to the laboratory, all in the name of research.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Dried fruit, baked apple and pear, vanilla and ginger, with chocolate and orange.
- Palate: Raisins and fig, milk chocolate, orange peel and vanilla, with light spice.
- Finish: Creamy and lasting, with dried fruit and warm spice.
Serving & Food
Drink it neat, or with a splash of cool water, alongside apple crumble or Dundee cake.

About the Distillery
Alexander Reid licensed The Macallan in 1824, and Edrington has owned it since 1999. Its single malt reached a wide public through press advertising in the 1970s, 80s and 90s, which the Archival Series revives.
