The Macallan Archival Series Folio 7 revisits the house's classic 'The Boffins Baffled' campaign as the seventh release in the Archival Series. The bottle is primarily a Macallan collectible rather than a standard core-range malt, combining known series provenance with a 700mL presentation suited to gifting and display.
From the Producer
The Macallan's Archival Series revisits the distillery's own advertising archive — witty print campaigns run through the 1970s, 80s and 90s that first took The Macallan name to a wider audience. The series launched in 2015 and comprises 24 individual folio releases, each built around a specific advertisement from the archive; Folio 7 is drawn from "The Boffins Baffled" campaign. The Macallan itself was founded in 1824 in Craigellachie, Speyside, and has been part of the Edrington group since 1999. (Sources: The Macallan official Archival Series page; product listing.)
