Macallan M 2020 700mL is the original 2020-release expression in The Macallan M Collection, a Lalique collaboration drawn from rare sherry-seasoned oak casks and presented in a hand-crafted Lalique crystal decanter.
From the Producer
The Macallan was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid in Craigellachie, Speyside, and built its identity on European-oak sherry casks seasoned in Jerez. The distillery joined the Edrington Group in 1999, and in 2002 launched the Fine & Rare Collection that anchored its collector side. The M Collection is The Macallan's flagship luxury tier — six decanters produced in partnership with French crystal house Lalique, each calendar-year release expressing a different facet of the distillery's sherry-cask maturation in a numbered Lalique decanter.
Appearance — Deep antique gold.
Nose — Fig, date, ginger, dried orange, tobacco, rosewood and polished oak.
Palate — Opulent and smooth, with dried fruit, spice, dark sweetness, malt and refined sherry oak.
Finish — Long and elegant, with fruit, spice and mature oak warmth.
