The Macallan Fine & Rare 1985 Cask #190413 is a collectible Speyside single malt from The Macallan’s prestigious Fine & Rare series. It is a 29-year-old vintage bottling with limited bottle equivalents.
From the Producer
The Fine & Rare series is The Macallan's vintage archive: one cask per vintage, drawn from stock stretching back to the 1920s, bottled at natural strength without colouring or chill filtration. Macallan's weight comes from wood - the distillery commissions its own oak in Galicia and northern Spain, has it coopered and sherry-seasoned in Jerez for two years before a drop of spirit goes near it. A 1985 cask has had nearly three decades in that wood.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Dried fruit, orange peel, polished oak, spice and mature sherry-led richness.
- Palate: Deep and complex, with raisin, cocoa, wood spice and classic mature Macallan weight.
- Finish: Long and warming, with oak, dried fruit and lingering spice.
Best For
Macallan Fine & Rare collectors, vintage whisky portfolios and landmark gifting.
