Hibiki 12 Years Old was first created by the House of Suntory in 2009, blending malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. Demand quickly outstripped supply and Suntory later discontinued the standard release to protect its aged whisky stocks, making surviving bottlings a sought-after link to the original age-stated blend.
