About This Whisky
The Distillery Edition matured for at least 15 years in a mix of American oak and Spanish oak casks, the Spanish casks having held oloroso sherry. It is bottled at 51% ABV without chill-filtration, which keeps more of the spirit's natural oils and gives a fuller texture. Launched around 2007 with travel retail in mind, it was later discontinued; this is the 750mL size.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Floral and fruity, with honey, kumquat and a peppery edge.
- Palate: Almond, baked apple and malted biscuit, with sherry sweetness and warming spice.

About the Distillery
Glenfiddich has been owned by the family of its founder, William Grant, since the first spirit flowed on Christmas Day 1887, and William Grant & Sons remains an independent company.
Today it still bottles its whisky on site, and a fifth generation of the family now runs the company. Much of the whisky still matures in warehouses on the Dufftown estate.
