About This Bourbon
Heaven Hill bottles Evan Williams 23 Year at 107 proof, one of the oldest regular Kentucky bourbons.
It has appeared since the late 1980s, always with a blue wax seal.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Old oak and furniture polish, then dark caramel, cherry, crème brûlée and a little tobacco.
- Palate: Full and slightly syrupy.
- Finish: Drying and persistent, with leather, clove, cigar box and a last trace of caramel.
Serving & Food
Give it ten minutes in the glass so the oak settles. Try it with dark chocolate or candied pecans.

About the Distillery
The Shapira brothers founded Heaven Hill in Bardstown in 1935, and the family still owns it. It has distilled at the Bernheim distillery in Louisville since buying it in 1999.
