Eagle Rare 17 Year 2016 is a 17-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV), released in 2016 as part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC).
From the Producer
Buffalo Trace Distillery, in Frankfort, Kentucky, is one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the United States, with origins that trace back to 1773 and operations registered at the site under the George T. Stagg name from the early twentieth century. The distillery produces the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection each autumn, a set of highly allocated whiskeys including George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, Sazerac 18, Thomas H. Handy and Eagle Rare 17. The 2016 Eagle Rare 17 was aged on the lower floors of Buffalo Trace's warehouses, where cooler temperatures slow maturation and help shape the whiskey's mature, oak-led profile.
