Duroche Gevrey Chambertin Champ 2022 is a red Burgundy from the Côte de Nuits village of Gevrey-Chambertin, drawn from the Champ climat and bottled at 750mL by Domaine Duroché.
From the Producer
Domaine Duroché is a family-run Burgundy estate in Gevrey-Chambertin whose current reputation rests on the work of Pierre Duroché and, more recently, his daughter Laura Duroché, who took over winemaking and farming. The domaine farms several respected Gevrey-Chambertin climats with holdings in Brochon and the village's northern exposures. The Champ climat sits at the southern edge of Gevrey-Chambertin and is known for approachable, fruit-forward village wines with characteristic Pinot Noir structure. Fruit is traditionally hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts; élevage is typically in French oak with a modest proportion of new barrels to keep the village fruit at the centre.
Tasting Profile
Red wines from this producer line typically combine dark-fruit and savoury notes with structured tannins and a sustained finish. Aging potential depends on the specific vintage and producer style.
