Cragganmore 12 Year is a classic Speyside single malt valued for aroma, balance and everyday drinkability rather than extreme cask influence. A core release from one of Speyside's most recognisable working distilleries, it sits comfortably in a traditional Scotch rotation.
From the Producer
Cragganmore Distillery was founded in 1869 by John Smith, the manager of nearby Macallan and Cardhu, on a rocky outcrop above the River Spey near Ballindalloch. It is one of Speyside's smaller working distilleries and is known for its unusually tall stills and flat-topped worm-tub condensers, which give the new make spirit a lighter, more delicate character than many neighbouring maltings. The 12 Year expression is built around refill American oak casks and is the distillery's signature single malt, widely regarded as a benchmark introduction to Speyside style.
