Chichibu The US Edition 2019 is a single-cask Japanese single malt from the Chichibu distillery in Saitama, bottled at 55.5% ABV for the US market as part of the annual city-edition series. Presented in 750ml format.

From the Producer

Chichibu distillery sits in the mountain town of Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, and was founded by Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the master distiller of the now-closed Hanyu distillery. Distilling began in 2008 on a small scale with on-site floor maltings and a wide variety of cask types. The distillery runs an annual city-edition series, with one city release per year; The US Edition is the allocation for the United States and is normally released through specialist US importers.

• Nose: Toasted biscuit, vanilla, ripe fruit and delicate oak spice.
• Palate: Full and textured, with sweet malt, citrus, pepper and layered wood influence.
