From the Producer
Chichibu distillery sits in the mountain town of Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, and was founded by Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the master distiller of the now-closed Hanyu distillery. Distilling began in 2008 on a small scale. The distillery has built a global network of specialist retail partners who bottle individual casks under their own labels. Spirits Shop Selection is one of those partners and the #1402 cask is its allocation from a 2011 Chichibu distillation.
