Chichibu Paris Edition 2019 is a limited Japanese single malt created for the Paris market and sought after by collectors of Ichiro's Malt. The release is notable for its boutique-market positioning, multi-cask complexity and the ongoing strength of Chichibu demand worldwide
From the Producer
Chichibu was founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, on the site of a former sake brewery. The distillery runs small pot stills, on-site floor maltings and short fermentations, and matured its first new-make spirit in 2009. Its single malt program is built cask-by-cask under the Ichiro's Malt label, drawing on Akuto's earlier work with the Hanyu distillery stock. One of the Chichibu Paris Edition annual releases bottled for the French market, presented as a multi-cask single malt.
