About This Whisky
Cask #198 was filled at Chichibu in December 2008, the distillery's first year, and bottled six years later for Kinokuniya's liquor shop in Ebisu, Tokyo.
Malt Dream Casks were whole casks sold to private buyers and bottled under their names.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Lemon curd, fresh pineapple and vanilla, with the green, sappy edge of young oak.
- Palate: Hot and vivid, with barley sugar, tropical fruit and ginger.
- Finish: Long, with citrus peel, white pepper and sweet oak.
Serving & Food
Try it with yuzu-glazed pork belly or pineapple tarts.

About the Distillery
Ichiro Akuto opened Chichibu in Saitama in 2008, and his company Venture Whisky owns it. By the time this cask was bottled in 2015, the distillery had a following well beyond Saitama.
