Chichibu distillery is a Japanese single malt producer based in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, operated by Venture Whisky Ltd. and founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2007, with production beginning in 2008 (Wikipedia, "Chichibu distillery"). The Malt Dream Cask series is Chichibu's line of single-cask bottlings allocated to specific Japanese liquor retailers, of which this cask is one allocated to Kinokuniya Liquorshop, the spirits floor of the Ebisu-based Kinokuniya book and lifestyle chain.
