Chichibu 6 Year Bourbon Barrel 2nd Fill Cask #1766 Mitsukoshi Isetan 2012 is a niche single-cask Japanese whisky release tied to a named retailer edition. Public references are limited.
From the Producer
Chichibu was founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, on the site of a former sake brewery. The distillery runs small pot stills, on-site floor maltings and short fermentations, and matured its first new-make spirit in 2009. Its single malt program is built cask-by-cask under the Ichiro's Malt label, drawing on Akuto's earlier work with the Hanyu distillery stock. Bottled at cask strength from a single bourbon barrel, this 6-year-old sits in the wave of bourbon-cask Mitsukoshi Isetan selections that built Chichibu's retail-following in the early 2010s.
