Buffalo Trace Bourbon is the flagship straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, made from fine corn, rye and barley malt and aged in new oak barrels in century-old warehouses until maturity.
From the Producer
Buffalo Trace Distillery sits in Frankfort, Kentucky, on a site where distilling records go back to 1775, and takes its name from the ancient buffalo trackway that crossed the Kentucky River there. Formerly the O.F.C. and then the George T. Stagg Distillery, it was bought by the Sazerac Company in 1992 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001 before being designated a National Historic Landmark in 2013. It was under George T. Stagg in 1886 that the site installed steam heating in its warehouses — the first climate-controlled whiskey ageing in the country. The namesake Buffalo Trace bourbon brand itself was introduced in August 1999.
