Royal Salute was created by Chivas Brothers in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, named for the twenty-one gun salute and set at twenty-one years old from the start. The blend has always been presented in a porcelain flagon rather than glass, made in England by Wade Ceramics. This release was decorated for the 2021 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Ox, as part of the house's annual festival series.
