Gentleman's Cut is Stephen Curry's bourbon brand, and this Player Exclusive was created with chef José Andrés, founder of the World Central Kitchen disaster-relief charity. It is a ten-year bourbon finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks — a sweet, dark, raisined sherry style associated with some of the best-known whisky finishes — released in a run of 800 bottles with the majority of proceeds directed to World Central Kitchen.

This is the bottle in the range built for the table. Ten years in oak, then a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks — the sweetest, darkest, most raisined sherry there is, and the cask that has made some of the most sought-after whisky finishes in the world.
What it does to a bourbon is exactly what a chef would want it to do. The corn sweetness gains depth and dried fruit, the oak gains spice, and the whole thing lengthens. It is a whiskey to drink through a long dinner rather than after one.

Eight hundred bottles, and a reason behind them
Eight hundred bottles were released, and the majority of the proceeds go to World Central Kitchen, the organisation José Andrés founded to feed people in the middle of crises.
It is the smallest run of the four, which makes it the one most likely to be gone first. It also makes it the most interesting bottle in the range to give to someone who cooks.

Temperature-controlled from Kentucky to Hong Kong
We booked a temperature-controlled container. When it turned out to be loading in a plain steel box we cancelled the whole thing and recalled it.
