About This Champagne
Dom Pérignon 2010 in the Lady Gaga limited-edition label. The wine is a Chardonnay-led, fruit-forward vintage that drinks well already.
Summer was warm until mid-August, when around two months of rain fell in two days and rot set into Pinot Noir.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Green mango, melon and pineapple, then mandarin peel, peony and a touch of fresh bread.
- Palate: Full and generous, firm through the middle, with a peppery, spicy lift.
- Finish: Saline and energetic, with a long, stony close.
Serving & Food
Start it cold, around 8°C, and let it warm a little in a white wine glass. The tropical fruit works well with Thai crab salad, prawn and pomelo, or chicken satay.
Good to Know
What's the blend? Unusually Chardonnay-led at 54%, with 46% Pinot Noir.
