Chateau Mouton Rothschild sits in Pauillac on the Left Bank and became a First Growth in 1973, the single revision ever made to the 1855 Classification, following decades of work by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The estate has commissioned a different artist for the label of every vintage since 1945, so the vintage marking carried on its original wooden case is meaningful to collectors restoring complete presentation. This case is marked for the 1979 vintage in twelve-bottle 750mL format.
