Metrokane's Rabbit put the lever corkscrew into ordinary use when it launched in New York in 2000: the handles do the work, the cork comes out in two movements, and there is no twisting. The polished Sterling version is the dress finish of that mechanism, in die-cast metal under a polished coating, sized for table-side service rather than kitchen-drawer duty.
