From the Producer

Suntory built Yamazaki in 1923 and has released very few age statements above twenty years. The 25 Year is the top of the distillery's permanent range and is built on the sherry-cask component of the inventory - the stocks that came from Spanish oak and needed a quarter century to settle. Suntory withdrew several Yamazaki age statements from general supply in 2018 as inventory tightened, which is why older bottlings are now what the market trades.

Tasting Profile

• Nose: Dark cherry, raisin, sandalwood, incense, orange peel and polished oak.
• Palate: Elegant and deep, with dried fruit, cocoa, soft spice, mature malt and refined sherry sweetness.
• Finish: Long, aromatic and composed, with lingering oak, spice and dark fruit.
