Yamazaki 18 Year Mizunara is matured exclusively in Mizunara casks for more than 18 years at Yamazaki Distillery, Japan's first malt whisky distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. Mizunara (Japanese oak) is notoriously difficult to work and slow to season, but The House of Suntory has spent decades mastering it as a signature element of the Yamazaki range, prized for its sandalwood, coconut and incense character. This 100th Anniversary label marked the House of Suntory's 2023 centenary and was continued into Suntory's 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection due to its popularity.
