Yamazaki 12 Year Single Malt is Suntory’s flagship age-stated Japanese single malt, offered here in an older yellow-box Japan-release presentation that adds collector interest to a benchmark whisky.
From the Producer
Yamazaki 12 Year is Suntory's benchmark age-stated single malt, produced at Yamazaki, Japan's first whisky distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture. The whisky is matured across American, Spanish and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, the mix behind its fruit, vanilla and gentle spice profile. This bottle carries an older Japan-market box design that predates Suntory's current international packaging, which adds to its appeal among collectors who track Yamazaki's release history.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Peach, pineapple, citrus, vanilla, light oak and gentle spice.
- Palate: Smooth and fruity, with honey, orchard fruit, malt sweetness and balanced oak.
- Finish: Clean and elegant, with lingering fruit, vanilla and soft wood spice.
