About This Bourbon
Launched in 1996, Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select is the flagship bourbon from Woodford Reserve in Versailles, Kentucky. It is a fairly high-rye bourbon, blended from pot-still and column-still whiskey.
The mash is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Rich dried fruit with hints of mint and orange, faint vanilla, tobacco spice and cocoa.
- Palate: Rich, chewy and rounded, with citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel and chocolate.
- Finish: Smooth, with a long, warm tail.
Serving & Food
An all-rounder. At the table, try it with fried chicken, honey-glazed char siu or apple crumble.

About the Distillery
After the Pepper family era, the distillery was sold in 1878 to Leopold Labrot and James Graham, and ran as Labrot & Graham, apart from Prohibition, until Brown-Forman bought it in 1941.
