About This Bourbon
Weller Centennial was a 10-year-old, 100-proof wheated bourbon from the W.L. Weller line. It went out of production in 2009, so any bottle today is an older release.
Early bottles give Louisville as the place of bottling.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Caramel, honey, vanilla and cherry, with old oak, cinnamon and soft leather.
- Palate: Mellow and rich, with wheated sweetness, toffee and fruit over mature oak.
- Finish: Smooth and unhurried, with caramel, oak and gentle spice.
Serving & Food
Pour a small measure first and let it settle; older bottles need a moment in the glass. Pair with vanilla custard, roast chestnuts or a mild aged cheddar.
Good to Know
How should I taste it? Neat, in a nosing glass at room temperature.
What grain? Wheat in place of rye.
