William Heavenhill 13 Year is a bottled-in-bond Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill built for buyers who want age, structure and a historic label rather than a mainstream shelf bottle. Official and specialist references support the 13-year age statement, 100 proof and 750mL format.
From the Producer
Heaven Hill Distillery was founded in 1935 by the Shapira family in Bardstown, Kentucky, and remains family-owned five generations later, making it one of the largest independent, family-controlled spirits producers in the United States. Its whiskey is distilled and aged at the Heaven Hill Bernheim distillery in Louisville before returning to Bardstown for bottling. The William Heavenhill line follows the bottled-in-bond standard set by the 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act — a single distilling season, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled at 100 proof — which the 13 Year expression meets with extended barrel time beyond the legal minimum.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla, oak and warm baking spice.
- Palate: Dense and well-structured, with toffee, dark honey, barrel spice and mature oak.
- Finish: Long and warming, with cocoa, spice and lingering sweetness.
Best For
Heaven Hill followers, bottled-in-bond bourbon drinkers and buyers who want an age-stated Kentucky release with more maturity than standard entry labels.
