Willett Distillery was established in 1936 by Thompson Willett in Bardstown, Kentucky, building on a family whiskey tradition passed down from his father and grandfather. The distillery operated as Kentucky Bourbon Distillers (KBD) from 1984 to 2012 before reverting to the Willett name, and today ages and bottles whiskey ranging from about two to 28 years old. Each Single Barrel release is bottled from one individually numbered barrel at its own proof, so no two barrel numbers taste exactly alike.
