Family Estate bottlings are filled one cask at a time, which means the bottle in front of you is not quite the bottle anyone else reviewed — proof, colour and weight move barrel to barrel, and that is the appeal rather than a flaw. Willett has been in Bardstown since 1936; its modern reputation was built by Even Kulsveen selecting casks under this label in the years before the distillery's own stills restarted in 2012.
