About This Bourbon
Very Olde St. Nick Ancient Cask Lot #12 is a bourbon with no age statement, bottled at 90 proof.
Ancient Cask Bourbon Lot 12 came out in 2016 at 90 proof (45% ABV) under gold wax, and there was also a small-label "Cask 12" at 90 proof from the earlier export years.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Honeyed caramel, vanilla, light oak and a little dried apricot.
- Palate: Smooth and medium-bodied, with toffee, sweet corn, cinnamon and a touch of cocoa.
- Finish: Medium length, finishing on vanilla and gentle oak spice.
Serving & Food
An easy bourbon to serve on the rocks or neat at room temperature, and it also makes a mellow Old Fashioned. Good with honey-glazed char siu, fried chicken or a slice of banana bread.
