Very Olde St. Nick is a cult American whiskey label that has never worked to a fixed annual release — the producer's own account of the brand describes it as always turning out "small, highly selective releases," adding "we never have much of any one product." Originally created decades ago as a holiday specialty built around old-style American bourbon and whiskey character, the label became a sought-after collector name precisely because of that scarcity, with older bottles now trading among enthusiasts for hundreds to thousands of dollars. Olde St. Nick Distillery is now folding into a new craft distilling operation opening in Nelson County, Kentucky — Bardstown, the Bourbon Capital of the World — continuing the small-batch approach to bourbon, rye and other grain whiskies.
