About This Whisky
A Suntory blend presented in a decanter made by Wedgwood, the English porcelain house from Stoke-on-Trent. It is bottled at 43% and was made for the Japanese market.
The whisky is a blend built mainly on 25-year-old Yamazaki malt, with a mellow grain whisky aged for at least 20 years.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Dried fruit, honey and old oak, with a hint of incense.
- Palate: Rounded and mellow, with sherried fruit, vanilla and a soft, sweet grain body.
- Finish: Medium-long, with gentle spice and polished wood.
Serving & Food
If you open it, pour a small measure into a crystal tumbler and sip it neat or with a single ice cube. It suits after-dinner chocolates, a slice of fruit cake or roasted chestnuts.

About the Distillery
Shinjiro Torii opened a small wine shop in Osaka in 1899, and his sweet Akadama port wine made the business. In 1921 the company became Kotobukiya.
