Private single casks filled and bottled at the distillery are part of how Springbank has worked for many years, and they are drawn from the same production as the core range: barley floor-malted at the Campbeltown site, spirit distilled two and a half times, and maturation in the distillery's own warehouses under the J. & A. Mitchell & Co. licence held by the same family since 1828. Fresh sherry casks are among the wood types the distillery fills directly rather than using only refill wood. This bottling comes from private fresh sherry cask number 341, distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2018 at cask strength, 57.7% ABV.
