About the Distillery
The spirit in this bottle was made in the mid-1990s, the decade when Springbank's name began to travel. A run of well-received bottlings in the 1990s built its reputation among malt drinkers well beyond Scotland, and the distillery was expanding what it made: in 1997 it ran Hazelburn, its unpeated, triple-distilled spirit, for the first time. The same years saw private buyers and clubs across Europe taking casks, which is why Scandinavian and German club labels are a familiar sight among Springbank private bottlings.
