From the Producer

J. & A. Mitchell & Co. has held the Springbank licence in Campbeltown since 1828, and the same family still owns the distillery, the warehouses, the bottling hall and the independent bottler Wm Cadenhead, founded in 1842. Springbank does its own floor malting, distils two and a half times, matures in its own warehouses beside the sea, and bottles by hand on site, so a bottle of Springbank never leaves Campbeltown until it is finished. Output is deliberately small and the distillery has long worked to a seasonal production schedule. The 15 Year is the senior age statement in the core range, matured in sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or colouring. This is the 2023 release.
