About This Whisky
Springbank bottled this 11-year-old Local Barley in December 2022, again from Belgravia barley grown at Glencraigs Farm near Campbeltown.
This bottling was distilled in May 2011, the same month as the 2021 edition, and given one more year in wood.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Papaya, mango and lemon, with barley sugar, sea breeze and a thread of peat.
- Palate: Citrus, manuka honey and pear drops, turning salty and mineral.
- Finish: Soft peat smoke, with ginger and honey.
Serving & Food
Serve it neat at around 18°C; water flattens the texture. Grilled prawns with chilli and lime or Hainanese chicken rice suit it.

Springbank was licensed in Campbeltown in 1828 and has belonged to the Mitchell family since 1837. It floor-malts its own barley and makes three malts from it, Springbank, Longrow and Hazelburn, every stage on the one site.
